Missing by Lisa Harris is book two in the Nikki Boyd files and the first of Ms. Harris’ books that I’ve read. The romance and suspense were wonderfully balanced and the story held my interest throughout. The ending left me wanting the last book in the series for sure.
Nikki Boyd is a strong woman greatly skilled in finding missing persons but her current case involves too many dead bodies. She’s wading through the evidence to find missing Lucy Hudson and the trail is taking her in directions she never imagined.
Tyler Grant is her best friend’s husband and a man who should be off limits. But they’ve supported each other through the years following his wife’s death and become so much more than friends. Nikki isn’t sure she’s willing to take the risk to go beyond friendship but losing Tyler is unbearable, too.
I enjoyed the story and found it to offer great twists and turns that kept me guessing. I’ve also found a new author and that’s always GREAT news!
