Fatal Frost by Nancy Mehl

Fatal Frost is the first of Nancy Mehl’s books that I’ve had the pleasure of reading. I’m pleased to say, I’m hooked! This book has it all, heroes and a heroine, drug cartels, gangbangers, betrayal, mystery and suspense. Hang on for the ride!

With many twists and turns, Fatal Frost provides motives for several characters leaving the who-done-it mysterious ‘til the end. I flew through this book because there was such great build up in the suspense.

One of the best parts of the book is the Acknowledgements. Although it’s not normally the part I’d review, Ms. Mehl’s comments were so touching and beautifully written, it made all the difference in the book for me. Additionally, a powerful poem opens the book, setting the intensity.

My favorite quote: “He died a hero. You’re living as a coward.” (page 266)

Fatal Frost is fast-paced, power packed story that kept me up far too late reading. I look forward to the next book in the series. I give it five out of five stars.

I received this book from NetGalley and Bethany House Publishers and have provided my honest review here.
