One of the greatest things about Alana Terry’s writing is she’s not afraid to tackle hard topics. In book one, Unplanned, Kennedy Stern faced and survived a kidnapping by crazed maniacs. In Paralyzed we meet Kennedy again and share the realities of the aftermath. Over and over, Kennedy struggles with what being a Christian means in recovery. If she prays enough, reads her bible enough, does enough, she will be healed from the PTSD that is crippling her life. I found the realism of Kennedy’s struggles, combined with the fast-paced story, a great combination.
I love Carl, he’s one tough bird and his wife Sandy is strong but submissive. I would absolutely recommend Paralyzed and give it five out of five stars.
