Unplanned by Alana Terry

Unplanned

Unplanned by Alana Terry tackles the especially hard topic of abortion versus prolife. Ms. Terry does an incredible job of showing the hard questions when abortion isn’t about birth control. She shows the differing sides of the argument from angles which are thought provoking and intense. I began reading the story and could not put it down.

When a young girl calls into the pregnancy help line, Kennedy Stern is dragged into a political and terrifying world that she had not planned or prepared for. Her parents are missionaries teaching at their Secret Seminary in Korea and she has grown up knowing the possibilities of severe persecution. Being at Harvard, she’s supposed to be far away from those things and all of the self-defense classes her father made her watch are no help now. Kennedy finds that the things she’s been taught about being prolife are being conflicted when the life of a young girl is threatened.

Although Unplanned is the fourth book in this series, it can easily be read as a stand alone. Ms. Terry makes the characters beyond life like and the book is a page turner from the start.

I received this book from the author in exchange for my honest opinion which I’ve provided here.
