Ms. Eason has delivered a suspenseful book that kept me flippin’ pages late into the night. I found myself shouting out, “I know who done it!” only to find out, I didn’t and it made for fun reading. Always Watching is the first book in the Elite Guardians series. With an introduction to the other guardians in the story, I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
Ms. Eason did a great job of presenting how an obsession for something can take reason and common sense, right out the window. Wade Savage’s love for his daughter, Amy and Wade’s father’s love for him clearly demonstrated a strong story of family bonds. The backstory behind Olivia’s quirks took me by surprise as it wasn’t something I’d expected at all. But the characters are woven together wonderfully and I found myself cheering them on and wanting to see justice happen for them.
