Mermaid Moon is the second book in the Sunset Cove Series and although I’d read the first quite a while ago, I was able to jump right back into the story.
Mallory Davis must return to Mermaid Point to deal with the murder of her father. A bad decision tore apart the relationship between Mallory and her high school sweetheart, Kevin O’Conner. It gave Mallory what she needed to get away from her hometown. Bad feelings still run deep from Kevin’s side of the family and they lay the blame at Mallory’s feet.
Kevin must face forgiving the girl that broke his heart and his ex-wife’s reappearance. His old love resurfaces and he is stuck between his family and Mallory.
One of my favorite parts of the book is the guest appearance of Gwen Marcey from Carrie Stuart Parks’ books. It was like having two great authors in one.
I loved the story and found it to be one of family, mystery and forgiveness. The twists and turns in the story kept me guessing and intrigued from page one. Already a huge fan of Ms. Coble, Mermaid Moon was an easy choice for me and I wasn’t disappointed. I absolutely recommended it.
