Kate Breslin is a storyteller along the brilliance of writers like Angela Hunt and Lisa Wingate. She transports the reader through time and space to a land of the past where she weaves fairytales for women.

Not by Sight is another fantastic story by Kate Breslin and one I’d easily recommend for those who enjoy historical fiction. Not By Sight is a story of a big-hearted woman named Grace Mabry who is enraptured by Jack Benninham, He mysteriously departs after their brief meeting but both remain in the other’s thoughts, if not in their view. When Grace takes on employment with the Women’s Forage Corps, she finds herself at odds with Clare Danner. Clare pulls a prank which causes Grace to interact with the mysterious Tin Man of Roxwood and before long she finds herself in his graces.

I loved the storyline and the wonderful characters contained within. I especially loved the “aha!” moment when the spy is discovered. Not By Sight is the kind of book you won’t want to end but there is a satisfying sigh of appreciation when you do.

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review which I’ve provided here.
